Sausage Gravy

Updated: Sep 24, 2020

Each bite is like going to the country. Close your eyes and indulge in this classic breakfast gravy, or enjoy it without sausage with your Fried Pork Loin Cutlet dinner! #SoNomNom4u

Sausage Gravy

1/2 (12-oz) tube of country sausage (for chunkier gravy, use the entire tube!)

3 TBSP Flour

3 cups half and half or milk

2 TBSP fresh cracked black pepper

2 tsp. season salt

In a large skillet (I love to use iron skillet!), cook sausage until it is brown and done. Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to coat. When flour is well mixed in, add half and half and wisk until it is completely blended and smooth. Let simmer. Season with season salt and fresh cracked pepper. Stire. Remove from heat and serve hot over some fresh baked biscuits!

To Make milk gravy, follow all steps, but omit sausage and melt 4 TBSP butter in a pan, add flour and blend, Add cream, season and serve.
