A delicious roast beef meal is always a great way to end a long day or a weekend! Cook this to your desired doneness and enjoy every juicy bite! This is delicious served with perfect mashed potatoes, beef gravy, and freshly shucked corn on the cob! #sonomnom4u #RoastBeef
3 or 4 lb Roast (I use Sirloin or Eye of Round)
4 cloves of garlic (cut into vertical strips)
salt pepper
Preheat oven to 375°F
Preheat iron skillet or griddle with 2 TBSP oil
Trim any extra fat or hard fat off the roast. Poke deep holes in various places through the entire roast.
Add cut garlic pieces into each deep hole you poked.
Now, place roast on the hot killet/griddle and brown all sides.
When all sides are browned, place roast on a small rack inside a baking dish.
Add 1 cup of water tot he dish
Season all sides of the roast with salt and pepper or premade season mix (I love Cash Cow)
Place foil over roast and dish and bake about 45 minutes. Remove foil, check temperature and bake about 1 hour longer. Times vary greatly depending on doneness preference, size of roast, and oven consistencies.
Cook roast until internal temp of roast reaches the correct temperature for your doneness prefs.
Remove roast when you reach desired temp.
Save the juices in the bottom of the pan and make a delicious beef gravy for your roast!
Let roast stand about 10 minutes prior to slicing.
Slice and serve hot with delicious sides!
