3 TBSP butter

1 cup shredded mozzarella or 2 slices of provolone cheese

Cut your 5 meatballs in half and place them in the sauce in a small saucepan. Heat until all metabllas are heated all the way through. Remove from heat. (Only do this if they are not already soaking in sauce. Otherwise, just heat and cut the saucy meatballs)

In a griddle or iron skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter and dip 1 side of each piece of sourdough bread into the melted butter. Make sure the butter covers the entire side of each piece of bread. Remove one piece and set aside.

Leave the other piece in the skillet with the butter side down. Place sliced meatballs, flat side down across the entire surface of the bread, top with cheese and place the other piece of bread, butter side up on top. Smash down gently with a spatula and carefully flip sandwich over when the first side becomes golden and toasty. Smash gently ith a spatula and toast until the second side of the sandwich is golden and crispy and the cheese is melty. Remove from heat and serve hot with a side of ItalNOM Fried Potatoes!
