The Original Sloppy 'lo

Do you love buffalo wings? We re-created the wing experience and we call this delicious invention, Sloppy 'lo. Imagine the taste of buffalo wings in the form of a Sloppy Joe! Introducing, the one and only, "Sloppy 'lo!

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 stalks of celery, diced

1/8 cup blue cheese crumbles (OPTIONAL!)

1 cup ranch (we use Litehouse), or blue cheese dressing

2 cups Red Hot

6 Brioche Buns, toasted

1/2 stick of butter


Directions:

Instant Pot Method (recommended):

Add 1/2 cup water to the Instant Pot. Add 1 cup Red Hot and 4 raw boneless, skinless chicken breasts (they can be frozen, too!) Use the Stew/Meat button and let cook. (IF FROZEN MEAT WAS USED-- After it is finished and it beeps, turn off instant pot and hit the meat/stew button again. When the second beep goes off, release the pressure all the way, open the Instant Pot and remove chicken from the pot. Discard sauce.


If Instant Pot isn't used, you can boil, grill, bake, or cook your chicken any way you want. The instant Pot is recommended so the flavors of the sauce absorb into the chicken more.


After chicken is cooked directions:

Shred the chicken with a fork. It should be pretty easy since it is so done and practically shreds itself. Set aside.


In a small, microwave safe bowl, melt 1/2 stick of butter. Add one cup of Franks Red Hot into the melted butter and whisk until fully blended to make a Buffalo sauce.


Pour the buffalo sauce into the shredded chicken. Toss shredded chicken and sauce until all the chicken is completely coated with the sauce. Set aside.


Toast the brioche buns on a hot skillet with some butter, margarine or cooking spray.


Wash celery, chop off both ends. Cut each stalk lengthwise twice and then cut across the short side in small pieces all the way up to dice the celery. Set Aside.


Assembly Directions:

Take the top toasted bun and spoon about 1 tsp ranch over the bottom side of the top bun. Repeat with bottom bun. Scoop about 1/2 cup or more of shredded buffalo chicken onto the bottom bun. Add diced celery on top. If you choose the optional topping of blue cheese crumbles, add them on top of celery. Place top bun on top and serve.

Serve with Homemade Potato Chips ! SO NOM NOM!
