Garlic Bread

Updated: Sep 26, 2020

This garlic bread is delicious when it is made with our french bread recipe, but it can be made from any purchased french bread, too. #SoNomNom4u #garlicBread #vegetarian

Delicious, fresh garlic bread is awesome paired with a steaming hot pasta dish or even a salad.

Garlic Bread

1 loaf of french bread (we make our own, you can too!)

1/2 stick of butter, melted

5 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tsp salt

1 tsp fresh chopped parsley or dry parsley flake

1 tsp fresh chopped basil or dry basil

1/4 cup grated Romano, parmesan, or asiago cheese (optional)

dash of dry basil

To make

Preheat oven to 350°

In a small saucepan, melt 1/2 stick of butter and add garlic. Saute Garlic about 1 minute and add salt, parsely, and basil. Remove from heat.

Sliced instructions:

Prepare a cookie sheet with parchement paper. Cut french loaf in 1" slices. Brush each side of each slice with melted butter mixture and place on parchment on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with a pinch of chosen cheese and dry basil. Repeat until all slices are on the cookie sheet. Bake approximately 7-10 minutes, until edges get a bit toasty and cheese is melting. Remove from oven, place on plate and serve with dinner!

Vertically Cut instructions:

Prepare a cookie sheet with parchement paper. Cut french loaf half vertically. Brush each half completely with melted butter mixture and place on parchment on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with a pinch of chosen cheese and dry basil. Repeat with other half of bread. Bake approximately 7-10 minutes, until edges get a bit toasty and cheese is melting. Remove from oven, cut into pieces, place on plate and serve with dinner!
