Fudgy Brownies

Who doesn't love a super fudgy brownie? Sometimes we add a powder sugar sprinkle, other times we don't--sometimes we even add fudgy icing! Any way you eat these, they are delicious! You can also get creative and add nuts, dried fruit, caramel, or anything else you'd like! #SoNomNom4u #Vegetarian #FudgyBrownies


You will need an 8"x12" pan for the best thickness (about 1 inch)--However, any pan will be fine! The larger the pan, the thinner the brownies.


1 sticks of butter, Melted

1 cup brown sugar

1 eggs

1 TBSP vanilla extract

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup flour

2/3 cup dark cocoa powder

1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate chunks

(If you want extra stuff--add 1/3 cup mini marshmallows, dried fruit, nuts, or anything)


Preheat oven to 350°F

Spray your pan with nonstick oil spray.


Directions:

In a stand alone mixer or bowl with beaters, mix butter, brown sugar and eggs. Add vanilla. Turn off mixer and remove bowl. Set aside.


In a large bowl sift flour, salt and cocoa. Add the sifted flour mixture to the butter and egg mixture and add 3/4 cup of chocolate pieces and gently fold it all together. If you are adding nuts, caramel, marshmallows or dried fruit, do it now. Do not over mix!


Pour the batter into the sprayed dish, smooth the surface and top with 1/4 cup of the reserved chocolate pieces.


Bake for 20-25 minutes. remove from oven and let stand in the dish to cool for about 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, sprinkle the top with sifted confectioners' sugar, chocolate icing, or leave as is! Cut and serve.
