Easy Sugared Donuts

You make these easy sugared donuts just like you make the easy powdered ponuts, except you use regular sugar. You can get creative and use colored sugar, too! Also, cut teh cough in fun shapes or poke a hole to make them look like traditional donuts! #SoNomNom4u #Vegetarian #EasySugaredDonuts

1 (7.5 oz) can of biscuit dough. (You can use generic and save a lot!)

1 cup sugar

Directions:

Pour the sugar into a zipper bag. Set aside.

If you have a deep fryer, preheat the fresh, clean oil to 370°F. If you do not have a deep fryer, fill a medium pot about 1/3 of the way with clean oil and heat it to 370°F. Do not add more than 1/3 oil.

Open the can of biscuit dough. You can cut mix the dough together, roll it out and cut it into shapes or shape each piece individually. If you roll it all out, make sure not to roll it any thinner than 1/2" thick!

Or make a traditional doughnut shape: Remove a biscuit dough portion and poke a hole in the middle with your finger and pull the sides around the hole a bit to make the hole bigger. Set aside. Repeat this step with all the dough portions.

When you have a plate of uncooked dough portions, shaped to your preference, drop 2 or 3 in the hot oil and fry them until they are golden. Then, take a long skewer and flip the donut and fry the other side of the 2-3 donuts until the other side is brown and the dough is poofy and golden. Repeat with all of the dough until they are all fried.

Place each of the hot donuts into the zipper bag of sugar and shake. Remove them from the bag and set on a plate. Repeat until all donuts are covered.

Eat and enjoy!
