These are the best soft chocolate chip cookies you will eat. They rock when they are cooked at minimum time. So soft and chewy! Cook longer for crispy treat. These aren't your plain old chocolate chip cookies. These are completely and utterly special. #SoNomNom4u
NOM NOM Chocolate Chip Cookies
2-1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter (room temp or melted)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chip of your choice. ( we love Ghiradelli and Trader Joes chips!)
PREHEAT OVEN to 375°F
In a stand alone mixer bowl or large bowl, add butter and brown sugar. Beat until creamed together. Addvanilla and eggs, beat until everything is well blended and smooth. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add Flour mixture slowly while the mixer is on. (We use the flour guard to avoid a huge mess!) when all flour is added, turn off mixer and pour in chips. Mix by hand.
Line 2 large cookie sheets with parchment and place cookie dough onto the cookie sheet by using a spoon or scoop. You can make them as large or small as you want. I usually do MONSTER COOKIES so I don't have to switch out pans in the oven as much. Make sure to leave about 2 or more inches between each dough drop on the sheet.
Bake at 375°F for 7-10 minutes. Ovens vary and so do cookie preferences. The less baking time, the softer the cookie. I cook mine around 8 minutes. SOFT! The longer you bake them, the crisper the cookie. The result is up to you!
Remove from cookie sheet with a spatula and place on a cooling rack or butcher paper to cool. Enjoy warm and gooey or completely cooled! Bake these cookies soft, let them cool completely and use them to make Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches!
