Some people avoid boiling eggs like the plague, but anyone can make perfect hard boiled eggs in just a few steps! Don't buy them already boiled! Make them ahead of time and have them ready when you want them! Save $$$ #hardboiledeggs #eastereggs #sonomnom4u
Ingredients:
Any amount of eggs you want to boil
3 TBSP baking soda
Water
A large bowl of ice with water (more ice than water, though!) to fit the amount of eggs you boil
Directions:
place eggs gently in the bottom of a pot (make sure pot is large enough for all the eggs you are boiling.)
Add cold water so there is at least 2 inches over the eggs.
Add baking soda.
Bring water to a heavy rolling boil.
When water starts to boil, turn off stove and add lid to the pot.
Set timer for 12 minutes.
After 12 minutes. remove eggs from boiling water with tongs and place them quickly one at a time into the ice water.
Once eggs are cooled, put them back into the original carton and refrigerate until you are ready to eat or dye the eggs.
