Updated: Nov 15, 2020

The dinner rolls, when done right, are my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal! You can buy the store bought rolls, or wow them with your delicious, hot, buttery yeast rolls! #Vegetarian #SoNomNom4u #DinnerRolls

5 cups bread/pizza flour

1 packet Rapid Rise Yeast

1/3 cup sugar

1 tsp salt

1-1/2 cup heavy cream

1 egg

6 TBSP +2 TBSP butter, melted

Directions:

Heat the heavy cream to 105°F.

In a stand alone mixer with the dough hook attachment, add warmed heavy cream, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for about 5 minutes or until yeast is foamy. Add 2 cups of flour, 1 tsp salt, 6 TBSP butter and 1 egg and mix. Now, add 1 cup of flour at a time and mix until all flour is incorporated into the dough. Stop to scrap the sides if necessary and when the dough is a ball in the hook, remove from the mixer and place on a lightly floured work surface.

Place oven rack in center location of the oven.

Preheat oven to 375°F

Knead dough by hand for about 10 minutes. Cover kneaded dough with olive oil and place in a bowl covered for 30minutes.

Grease a 8" square or round dish with butter.

Divide ball of dough into 12 equal sections. You can break the dough in half and break each half in half until you get 12 equal sections. knead each section gently for a second and flatten it in your hand. Now fold in each side and gnetly form into a ball without rolling. Place the ball into the greased 8" pan. Repeat wtih each piece. Equally distribute the balls inside the dish and leave equal space btween them. Cover, let rise for about 1 hour, or until they are doubled in size.

Bake for about 20 minutes or until rolls are golden. Remove from oven and brush them with melted butter.
