There is something special about walking into an italian bakery and ordering a delicious, fresh cannoli. There is no need to walk into an italian bakery! You can make them from home. #sonomnom4u #Cannoli #vegetarian

Cannoli

1-box of 6 Alessi Cannoli Shells

32-oz Whole Milk Ricotta

1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips plus another 1/2 cup for the ends

1 tsp almond extract

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1 TBSP maraschino cherry juice

Maraschino Cherries

Strain ricotta by pouring into a very fine metal sieve or cheesecloth. In a medium bowl, mix strained Ricotta, confectioners sugar, Almond extract, cinnamon, and chocolate chips.

Pour the mixture into a large zipper bag and zip. Using your hands outside the bag, coax the mixture into one corner of the large zipper bag. Cut the corner with sharp scissors and use the zipper bag to pipe the mixture into the cannoli shell.

Fill each shell full and dip each end in mini chocolate chips. Add a marachino cherry to each end of each cannoli. (See image) Place cannoli back into the tray to hold them still and sift confectioners sugar over them. Keep cold until serving. Serve immediately.
