Bacon Cheeseburger Crisps

Bacon Cheeseburger Crisps are a delicious addition to a party! This recipe calls for wonton wraps, but for a fluffier finish, you can use puff pastry dough! #SoNomNom4u #CheeseburgerCrisps

1 package of wonton wraps (or eggroll wraps, quartered)

1/2 lb ground beef

2 oz Velveeta cheese, cut up

1/4 cup cooked real bacon pieces (find in the salad dressing aisle)

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 egg

1 small bowl of water for sealing.

In a small bowl, mix ground beef, velveeta cheese, bacon pieces, garlic salt, egg and pepper until it is all well blended.

Take a wonton wrap and lay it down on a clean work area. Place a pointy side down, like a diamond. Place about 2 tsp of the ground beef mixture into the center of the wonton. Take a little bowl of water and dip your finger in it. Move your finger around the top 2 sides (point in middle) and fold bottom point to meet top point so you have a triangle. Press to seal tight. Repeat until all wontons are filled with the ground beef mixture.

Heat deep fryer to 350°F. If you do not have a deep fryer, fill a pot 1/3 with oil (DO NOT OVER FILL!) and use a cooking thermometer to test oil temp. Fry for approximately 1-3 minutes . TIme varies, depending on how cold the meat mixture is. Remove from oil, and drain on paper towels. Serve hot and crispy!
